The Merry Mother Christmas Cocktail

As we head into the festive season we thought what better way to celebrate than with our very own Christmas Cocktail, aptly named by you guys: The Merry Mother. This cranberry cocktail combines M0THER gin, tonic (*a splash of fizz if your feeling extra naughty), fresh lemon juice and a simple homemade cranberry syrup that is irresistible! Garnish with sugar coated cranberries for an elegant festive touch.

Ingredients | The Merry Mother

For Christmas Cranberry syrup

  • 1 Cup of Frozen Cranberries
  • 1 Cup of Water
  • 1 Cup of Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Stick of Cinnamon
  • 3 Star Anise
  • 5 Cloves

For the Cocktail 

  • 25ml Cranberry Syrup
  • 25ml M0THER Gin
  • 15ml Freshly Squeezed Lemon

Instructions for Cranberry Syrup: Add to a pan and boil for approximately 20 minutes until thick & sugar has dissolved. Once the cranberries have steeped in the syrup - sieve and put to one side for them to be turned into 'candied cranberries'.

Instructions for Candied Cranberries: Transfer a few of the cooked cranberries into a bowl of sugar, then toss to evenly coat. Place sugar coated cranberries on a drying rack to harden and repeat with remaining cranberries until they’re all coated.

    Instructions to make Cocktail: Fill cocktail shaker half way with ice, then M0THER GIN, Cranberry Syrup and Lemon. Shake for about 20 seconds and pour into a coupe glass. 

    Finish off your cocktail by topping up with tonic and if you're feeling extra naughty add a dash of Prosecco.

    Garnish with a fresh sprig of Rosemary and candied cranberries.

    Serve and Enjoy!
